The Weminuche Wilderness areas surrounding Silverton offer beautiful and technically challenging peaks. “Technical” is our verbiage for any peak that requires ropes, harnesses and helmets. These peaks require hand and feet climbing movement and scrambling through steep and often exposed terrain.
