Spend your day with us, hanging from iron cables and climbing a European style via ferrata!

Enjoy a half day of climbing on the Ouray Via Ferrata with San Juan Expeditions. The Downstream Route provides climbing and descending sections, cable crossings, and an optional sky climb rated VF 5. This route is more family friendly and a great option if you have never climbed.

The Upstream Route is a technical and more challenging route developed in 2022. With more natural rock features than metal cables, this route has more classic rock sections where you will be climbing rock, still attached to the cables. We do not recommend clients to climb this unless they are confident in their climbing abilities and fitness. Previous climbing or Via Ferrata experience is highly recommended. Please reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns about either route.
