With an emphasis on education, our Ski / Splitboard Mountaineering Course is a fantastic introduction for those who are looking to take their skiing/riding to the next level. Our AMGA aspirant and certified guides will share their expertise and train you on a variety of advanced techniques to give you the tools to tackle objectives that go beyond a normal tour. Our low client/guide ratio (3:1) ensures you get the dedicated attention required to become proficient in advanced techniques such as belayed skiing/riding, low angle ice climbing, advanced avalanche hazard mitigation, and more.
Join us this year at the Green Wilson Hut based out of Aspen, CO for a 3 day, 2 night trip on April 15-17, 2024 with IFMGA guide Mia Tucholke and AMGA Assistant Splitboard guide Sarah MacGregor! We will have a pre-trip Zoom prior to discuss meet the team and discuss details.

Trip Itinerary
Pre-Trip Zoom: To talk about personal gear selection for ski/ride mountaineering, tour planning, food selection, etc.
Day one: Skin to hut, uphill track setting and turning techniques, climbing with crampons and ice axe
Day one evening: Debrief and plan for next day
Day two: Snow, rock, and ski/board anchoring techniques. Avalanche hazard awareness and avoidance techniques for the ski/ride mountaineer. Off-piste downhill skiing/riding techniques.
Day two evening: Debrief and plan for next day
Day three: Climbing objective, skin out
